Urban Climate Leadership Clean Economy Youth Challenge

urban climate leadership Clean Economy Youth Challenge

High school students (15-18) across BC are stepping forward to help shape the future of the clean economy.

The UCL Clean Economy Youth Challenge invites students to share their ideas through a short video, poster, or presentation exploring topics such as clean energy and electrification, green buildings and retrofits, and innovation in clean technology.

Finalists will present their ideas live at the Sustainable Workforce Summit in Vancouver on March 31, where winners will receive cash prizes and a national media profile with The Energy Mix.

More than a competition, the challenge helps young people see themselves as part of the workforce building Canada’s clean economy — bringing fresh perspectives to a conversation where youth voices are too often missing.

This initiative is made possible with the support of New Economy Canada, Sustainable Workforce Summit, Zero Emissions Innovation Centre (ZEIC), Canadian Apprenticeship Forum, CityHive, and Toronto 2030 District.

Know a teen in BC who should be part of this conversation? Share the challenge with them.
